Perspective The encounter

Like in many other James Joyce stories it is told by an unnamed storyteller, this makes me think that it is James Joyce speaking about his experiences in childhood when reading the sisters you see a very similar narrator. This makes me wonder whether this narrator is really just the author trying to hide his identity.

The effect that this has on the reader and on me is, It leaves the reader with a lot of ambiguities this is good because it allows the reader to interrupt this as they want to and not as James Joyce wants you to. You could saying he gives you the power to decided on how this story is going to turn out.
